Richard Coleman, 65, of Gainesville, GA went to be with the Lord on June 7, 2013. Born in Atlanta, GA he was the son of the late Jack and Jackie Coleman.

Richard retired as a Manager for McDonald’s restaurants. During his 25 years with McDonald’s he was responsible for opening a number of new restaurants in North Georgia. He was an avid reader and actively involved in his church, McEver Road United Methodist Church. Richard also was a passionate gardener – even producing a 300 pound pumpkin one year.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Coleman of Gainesville, GA; children, Heath (Kim) Coleman of Cumming, GA, Heather (Wilburn) Etheridge of Suches, GA, Michelle Brown of Gainesville, GA and Melissa Jordan of Auburn, GA; brothers, Tommy (Angie) Coleman and Curtis (Suzi) Coleman of Dawsonville, GA; and grandchildren, Ava, Bryn, Tiffany, Rebecca, Dakota, Levi and his much-loved, Matt. Richard is also survived by his dogs, Watchrat, Mary Jane and Bulldog and cat, Pete.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, June 10, 2013 at McEver Road United Methodist Church in Oakwood, GA. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 pm until service time.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hall County Humane Society.
